The terns migrate to follow the summer sun. They are true sun worshippers and arrange their life and travel plans to “follow the sun”.
FOLLOWING THE SUNLIGHT
Arctic terns birds are programmed to migrate in search of summer sunlight—which is also thought to illuminate the ground and the surface of the ocean on the tern’s journey. It is believed that going from Arctic summer to Antarctic summer, this little bird gets more daylight than any other animal.

Maria Guerts

With over 15 years of experience in the immigration field, Maria is a licensed Immigration Consultant, designated by the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants (CICC).
After moving to Canada and completing a bachelor’s degree in Administrative Studies at York University, Maria became a successful Immigration Case Manager at a “Bay Street” immigration law firm early in her career. There, she discovered her passion for the field and sought further education and development.
After becoming a licensed Immigration Consultant and a Certified Translator (ATIO), she co-founded Kanset Services in 2012. Maria oversees client files from beginning to end and provides the much-needed handholding for clients during the processing of their cases. Throughout the years, Maria has become an expert and go-to advisor for all staff within the company for all types of immigration matters.
Eugene Jakubov
Barrister and Solicitor Senior Business Consultant
With 20 years of experience as a licensed lawyer, Eugene gained unique knowledge and expertise in legal and business support for international clients looking to expand their operations into new markets. Eugene’s background includes over 15 years of senior management experience, when he successfully acted as the Legal/HR Department Manager and Compliance Officer of a multi-profile, international group of companies.
For the last 10 years, Eugene manages a unique business model offering solutions for international investors and entrepreneurs for setting up and operating their new ventures in Canada. He also provides step by step plan and guidance for new and existing Canadian businesses with respect to business compliance, which, in his opinion, is one of the most overlooked and underestimated aspects of running a successful business in Canada. Dr. Marinic-Jaffer is a barrister and solicitor in private practice, who has been providing consultations in the area of immigration and medical inadmissibility since 1993. Her work entails provision of future care reports for her clients. Dr. Marinic-Jaffer consults Kanset Services’ clients on medical inadmissibility cases upon request.
